How long does it take to get the illustrations done?
Depends on the scope of the project, but usually 4 weeks to a couple of months. I’ll give you a timeline once I know what we’re cooking up.
Do you do everything from illustration to formatting, so I just upload the files?
Yep! I can handle the whole shebang — artwork, layout, print-ready files. You get the final package ready to upload and show the world.
What should I have ready before we start?
Your manuscript, a rough idea of how many pages you want, and any references or styles you love. If you don’t have all that, no stress, we’ll figure it out together.
Can I give feedback along the way?
Absolutely. I’ll check in at key points like the storyboard and roughs so you’re never out of the loop. It’s a team effort.
What if I want to make changes later?
Minor tweaks are cool at certain stages. Once we’re past a phase (like final art), big changes might cost extra — but I’ll always let you know first.
Will the illustrations fit my text properly?
That’s the plan! I design the pages to flow with your words. We’ll make sure it reads well and looks amazing!
Can I send you my manuscript to look at?
Sure! I prefer we sign an NDA first, just to keep everything safe and sound. If you don’t have one, you can download mine for free Here.
Do you provide a contract or agreement?
Yes!! once we’ve chatted about your project and we’re good to go, I can send over an illustration agreement if you don’t already have one in place. Keeps things clear and comfy for both of us.
Do you make colouring books or activity books too?
Yep! They can be based on your storybook or be their own separate thing. Great for bonus content or merch-y extras.
Can the characters be based on real people (or pets)?
Totally! Just send me some clear photos and I can turn your loved ones (furry or not) into illustrated stars.
